Gary Vaynerchuk’s new book, The Thank You Economy is out. I just got my copy in the mail the other day and have only had a chance to read the intro. By email, I also received an email from Gary personally thanking me for purchasing his book. He personally emailed thousands of people that purchased his book. (Last year when the book went on pre-sale, he invited people to send him a copy of the receipt.)
I wasn’t quite sure how to explain what the book is about, seeing as how I haven’t read it yet. Chris Brogan has read it and posted a review on his site. Then this morning, Gary sent out a link to a video of him on MSNBC’s Morning Joe program. In the spot, Gary explains in fairly clear and simple terms just what The Thank You Economy means for businesses of all sizes over the next couple years. The video is posted below:

As you can see in the clip, the way business is done is changing. Those businesses that embrace the change and adapt will be the leaders in the coming years. More than anything, what we can expect to see is the further humanization of business. This is a huge concept and a major shift from the way the marketplace has been shaped over the last couple generations.
